About The Blog
The name is pretty self explanatory. This blog is about life, but also about all the little things that come with life. Family, finances, dreams, ideas, and so much more! During the last two years of my (Shelby) high school “career”, I felt disconnected with the world. I had some issues that back then, I wouldn’t talk about.. But I’m not afraid to talk about them now. I slipped down a path I wasn’t happy with, and I was diagnosed at first in my junior year, with bi-polar disorder. That diagnosis was later on changed to a diagnosis of Chemical Imbalance. Of course, as you’ll learn, those two years were the hardest two years of my life. However, with the help of my friends and certain family members, I was able to reconnect with the real me and remind myself about just who I am.
My aim is to help people reconnect with their lives, stay in touch with their real selves, follow their dreams, and change the world, one small act at a time.
I am a soon to be wife, who’s a part time student and a part time employee at a job I love. I am also an aspiring writer with no particular subject nor preference. Writing is what makes everything make sense to me. I also dabble with photography and graphic design (mainly for myself). I’m from a small town out in the middle of nowhere, and now I live in a city in South Carolina called Columbia. My family and close friends mean the world to me, and I am very protective over each of them. The closest thing I have to children right now are my dogs – who I have always considered my children since they really do act like children. Please feel free to message me on my MSN screen name firstname.lastname@example.org or email me at email@example.com.
I am a full time college student at the University of Vermont, double majoring in English and Global Studies, and learning German as well. I am twenty years old and my passions include travel, writing, cooking, exercise and working with animals. I have a blog of my own, but will occasionally be posting to Shelby’s blog as per her request. You can find a link to my blog HERE.
